Nonsequitur was named by Max Rosenberg GSAS '00 and Andy Lebwohl CC '04, two of the original five, who were known to make many non sequitur statements.
Andy has this thing he would say when someone delivered a non sequitur: "Hi, I'm the president of the non sequitur club! We may not have many members, but we sure do like pizza!" (Edit: He said it was because he was 18 years old and thought he was very clever.)
Rona Behar CC '04 (at the time an observer, later a member) would ask "what's a non sequitur?" and Robbie Milstein, also an observer and later a member (Rona brought him along), pointed at Andy and Max and said "everything that comes out of the mouths of these two, that's a non sequitur."
And the rest is history. Living up to its name, the members of Nonsequitur pride themselves on their improvisation, creativity, sexiness, and awesome musical abilities.
